Pune: PMPML Plans 300 Extra Buses For Passengers On Rakshabandhan

Pune, 21st August 2021: The Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) has planned to provide more buses on various routes for the citizens of Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad on the occasion of the Rakshabandhan festival on Sunday, 22nd August.

It is observed that every year on the day of Rakshabandhan, a large number of passengers travel on various routes. Therefore, the city transport body has planned to provide 1425 buses on the routes in addition to the scheduled buses which stand at 1125 buses. Over 300 extra buses will be added to the route.

PMPML has also canceled the weekly leave of the drivers, conductors, and supervisors. Officers have been appointed to control the movements at the important depot. Officers, clerks, and other staff of the PMPML have been appointed to guide the passengers at the important depot and bus stops to control the traffic.

Additional buses will ply on Monday, August 23, also, officials said.
