Pune: PMPML To Deploy 900 Electric Buses

Pune, 15th June 2023: Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) has plans to enhance its fleet with the addition of 900 electric buses.

District Guardian Minister Chandrakant Patil revealed that the expansion will comprise 600 buses procured from the Central Government under the Gross Cost Contract (GCC) scheme, while the remaining 300 buses will be self-owned small 7-meter-long buses.

In a meeting held by Guardian Minister Patil with officers and staff unions, discussions centred around PMPML employees and other pertinent matters. Following the meeting, a press conference was conducted where Patil, accompanied by PMPML Chairman and Managing Director Om Prakash Bakoria, shared details about various topics discussed during the session.
