Pune : PMPML’s Monthly Ridership And Revenue Increased Compared To Last Year, Say Officials

Pune 1st Sept 2023: The number of commuters opting for public transport has increased in Pune as the Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) have announced that the average monthly ridership has increased compared to last year. This has also increased the revenue of the transport body compared to last year.

According to PMPML officials, a total of 3,56,42,963 passengers used the PMPML service in July compared to 3,17,01,065 passengers using the service in the same month last year. The transport body has earned a revenue of Rs 52,61,23,680 in this month compared to Rs 42,88,31,885 recorded in the same month last year.

Similarly, a total of 3,45,27,304 passengers used the service in August this year compared to 4,00,70,662 passengers recorded last year. As a result, the revenue also increased this year to Rs 47,04,89,949 compared to Rs 57,08,69,133 recorded last year. This is seen as a positive sign for the PMPML as the transport body officials claim that more people have started opting for the public transport in Pune.
