Pune: PMRDA Registers Case Against Gahunje House Owner for Unauthorised Construction

Gahunje, 22nd November 2024: The Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) has registered a case against the owner of a house in Gahunje, Maval Taluka, Pune District, for unauthorised construction. The case was registered by the Illegal Construction (Demolition) Department of PMRDA. According to PMRDA officials, a case has been filed at the Talegaon Dabhade Police Station against Meena Vijay Aher (resident of Gahunje, Maval), who is engaged in unauthorised construction at Survey No. 138 in Gahunje.
PMRDA had previously issued notices to the concerned individuals to halt the unauthorised construction, but these notices were ignored. As a result, a case has been registered under the Maharashtra Regional and Town Planning Act of 1966. The PMRDA has urged property owners to obtain the necessary permissions before commencing construction and to immediately cease any ongoing unauthorised construction work.
