Charholi, 9th April 2025: In a significant move to curb illegal land development, the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) on April 8 launched a major demolition drive against unauthorized plotting in Charholi Khurd, Taluka Khed. Several developers were found to have carried out plotting and infrastructure work without required permissions.

According to PMRDA officials, the action was taken against:
Mauli Krupa Developer – unauthorized plotting and internal road construction (approx. 44,589 sq. ft.) in Group No. 73
Datt Krupa Developers – illegal plotting, internal roads, compound wall, and fencing in Group No. 315/2
Shivganesh Park – unauthorized plotting and internal road (approx. 500 sq. ft.) in Group No. 325
Girish Lade (Shivganesh Park) – construction of a 57-meter-long illegal compound wall
Vishnu Park (Group No. 306) – unauthorized plotting and road construction
Green Valley Park – unauthorized plotting and internal road work

The operation was conducted under the guidance of PMRDA Commissioner Dr. Yogesh Mhase, with support from Superintendent of Police and Vigilance Officer Amol Tambe. The action team was led by Joint Commissioner Dr. Dipti Suryavanshi-Patil and included Deputy Collector Pramod Kudale, Tehsildar Sachin Maske, Ravindra Ranjane, and a team of engineers – Vishnu Awhad, Ganesh Jadhav, Abhinav Londhe, Sagar Jadhav, Pranav Dengle, Sharad Khomane, Shashibhushan Hole, Harip Mane, and Deepak Mane.

Speaking on the crackdown, Joint Commissioner Dr. Suryavanshi-Patil emphasized that unauthorized plotting—often involving temporary roads and unapproved layout plans—poses a serious risk to citizens. “Such developments do not receive construction permissions. Citizens should thoroughly verify all legal documents before purchasing land to avoid fraud,” she said.

PMRDA officials stated that such strict action will continue across the region to prevent the mushrooming of unauthorized layouts, which not only violate planning norms but also lead to unregulated urban growth.
