Pune Police Orders Enquiry Against Traffic Cop Seen Slapping Youth In Viral Video

Pune, 25th February 2022: After PunekarNews.in reported how a policeman of the traffic branch of Pune City Police was seen beating a youth, DCP (traffic) has ordered an enquiry against the erring staff.
The incident took place on the evening of February 23 at Sant Kabir Chowk in Nana Peth. The youth was asked to stop the two-wheeler but he fled. However, due to traffic, he could not escape.
“When the policemen reached there, he left the vehicle which fell on the hand of our policeman who got hurt. In the melee, the youth used abusive words following which the policeman hit him. The youth was issued a challan of Rs 5,000 for rules violations”, DCP Rahul Shrirame said.
He further said that an enquiry has been ordered against the staff involved in the incident.
