Pune Police To Deploy Heavy Security During Bandh Call Tomorrow
Pune, 12th December 2022: All opposition political parties and various social organisations have called for Pune bandh on Tuesday to protest against the derogatory remarks about Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
Against this background, strong security has been deployed in Pune city from the perspective of law and order. In it, 100 officers and over 1000 police personnel, plain-clothes constables, and various teams have been appointed. Police Commissioner Amitabh Gupta has appealed to those participating in the bandh to cooperate with the police.
All opposition parties will participate in the Pune Bandh, and a march will be held from Deccan to Lalmahal Chowk on Tuesday. Therefore, the police have appointed 50 officers and 350 personnel in zone 1. Apart from that, the staff and officers of the concerned police station have also been deployed for security. Crime Branch Headquarters, 50 officers from various squads and 600 to 650 personnel have been deployed. Apart from this, staff officers in plain clothes have been appointed.
Meanwhile, Police Commissioner Amitabh Gupta has ordered all police station chiefs and officers to ensure that no untoward incident takes place during the bandh.
