Pune: Prohibitory Orders Enforced Around SSC, HSC Exam Centres in Pune Rural
Pune, 6th February 2026:To ensure the smooth and fair conduct of the upcoming board examinations, District Collector and District Magistrate Jitendra Dudi has imposed prohibitory orders within a 100-metre radius of all SSC and HSC examination centres in Pune rural district.
The restrictions will be in effect from 6:00 am on February 10, 2026, to 8:00 pm on March 18, 2026, covering the full duration of the Class 12 (HSC) and Class 10 (SSC) examinations conducted by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education.
Entry and Gathering Restrictions:
As per the directive, unauthorized individuals are barred from entering examination centres or loitering within the 100-metre restricted zone. The administration has also prohibited the gathering of two or more persons within this perimeter during the examination period.
These restrictions will not apply to students appearing for exams, authorised examination staff, police personnel, or security officials assigned to duty.
Ban on Communication Facilities and Devices
The order also calls for the temporary closure of communication-related services operating within the restricted zone, including:
-Public telephone booths
-STD/ISD and fax centres
-Photocopy (xerox) shops
-Email and internet service centres
In addition, the use or possession of electronic devices such as mobile phones, wireless sets, radios, calculators, and laptops has been strictly prohibited within examination centres and in the surrounding restricted area.
Officials have warned that violations of the prohibitory order will attract legal action under Section 223 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
The district administration clarified that the measures are precautionary, aimed at preventing malpractice, maintaining law and order, and ensuring a disturbance-free and fair examination environment for students.
