Pune: Prostitution Racket Busted At Massage Center In Viman Nagar
Pune, 2nd July 2022: A prostitution business which was operating under the name of a massage center in Viman Nagar area was busted by the social security cell of Pune city police crime branch.
Police have arrested Hina Akbar Ali Syed (30) of Lohegaon, Tajul Islam Abdul Waheed (33), Farooq Ahmed and Badul Ahmed (32), residents of Viman Nagar. The owners of the massage center identified as Suresh Babulal Pardeshi of Kasba Peth, Sandeep Sharadchandra Sahastrabuddhe of Kalewadi, Avinash Khinvasara of Kasba Peth, Avinash Bhausaheb Sakore are yet to be arrested.
Acting on a tip-off, the cops sent a decoy customer who confirmed the prostitution business at Atmosphere Unisex Hair and Beauty Studio in a building in Viman Nagar. A police team raided the place and rescued eight young women. Cash and other materials worth Rs 1.61 lakh were seized.
The action was taken under the guidance of DCP (crime) Srinivas Ghadge, Senior Inspector Rajesh Puranik, Sub-Inspectors Supriya Pandharkar, Rajshri Mohite and Neelam Shinde, Irfan Pathan and Hanumant Kamble.
