Pune: Woman Arrested For Abusing Citizens And Also Beating Police Constable

Vadgaonsheri, 2nd July 2022: Around midnight, a woman was screaming and abusing the citizens on the streets. A policewoman came to calm her down but she beat the police constable and tore her top shirt herself.

The incident took place at midnight on Friday in front of the Ramchandra auditorium office at Vadgaonsheri.

Based on the complaint from the constable, an FIR has been registered at Chandan Nagar police station against the 28-year-old woman.

According to the police, the accused woman was shouting at the road in front of Ramchandra auditorium and abusing the passers-by. The female constable arrived at the scene. She tried to calm the woman. As she was taking the woman to the side of the road, the woman tore off the shirt on her by herself. Later she thrashed the woman police constable with her hands.

Sub-Inspector Muluk is investigating further.
