Pune: Prostitution Racket Busted, Three Women Rescued In Dighi

Dighi, 2nd January 2023: A prostitution racket was busted by the Pimpri Chinchwad police at the Abhishek Lodge in Dighi. Chakan Division Assistant Commissioner Prerna Katte’s team rescued three women from the prostitution business in a raid on Friday (30th) evening.

Manager Premkumar Sukhdev Solanke (19), lodge owner Shirish Shankar Kale (40), a resident of Vishrantwadi, customer Vaman Tulshidas Solanke (42), a resident of Alandi, Suresh Bhiku Nimbalkar (60), a resident of Dighi, were arrested. In addition, a case has been filed against Gaurav Chauhan, a 24-year-old Bopkhel resident. Police Naik Jijaram Karbhal has filed a complaint with the Dighi Police Station regarding this matter.

According to the police, the team of Assistant Commissioner of Police Prerna Katte got information about the prostitution business in Abhishek Lodge in Dighi. As a result, the lodge was raided by the police on Friday night around 7:30 p.m. The lodge owner and manager lured three women with money and got them into the prostitution business. The accused earned a livelihood from that. The raid also resulted in the arrests of two customers. One person fled the scene, and police are searching for him. The police have rescued three women who were harmed. Dighi police are investigating.
