Pune: Railway Police Seize Ganja Worth Rs 1.67 Lakh From Passenger, Arrested
Pune 8th Sept 2023: The Government Railway Police (GRP) has arrested a man on his arrival at the Pune Railway Station and around 16 Kg of Ganja worth Rs 1.67 Lakh has been seized from his possession. The accused identified as Rudraraj Kondababu Dhunbaroo, a resident of Vishakhapatnam district of Andhra Pradesh was taken into custody by the police in the matter.
According to officials, the accused was spotted by the police at Daund Railway Station while he was travelling in Kakinada Express. The police officials checked his bag and found some packets Concealed with some suspected material. When checked, the material concealed in the packets was found to be Ganja. The police officials arrested him as the train reached Pune Railway Station.
A case under relevant section has been registered and further investigation in the matter is underway.
