Pune: Ratan Tata Visits Ailing Ex-Employee At His Residence, People Call Him Humble Man

Kothrud, 6th January 2021: Known for his simplicity and humbleness, industrialist Ratan Tata once again won the heart of people by visiting an ex-employee at his residence here yesterday.

An ex-employee of one of the Tata companies is suffering from illness since last two years. When 83-year-old Ratan Tata got to know about this, he travelled from Mumbai to Pune and visited the employee at his residence.

 

According to a post on LinkedIn by Yogesh Desai, CEO of PrimaVerse, whose friend is from the same housing society where Tata visited his ex-employee, the visit was not publicised in any way, and there were no media present. The post has gone viral with about 1.7 lakh reactions and 4,000 comments.

 

Desai wrote, “Sir Ratan Tata, (83 Years old ) living legend, greatest businessman alive in India visited the friend’s society in Pune to meet his ex-employee all the way from Mumbai who is ailing for last 2 years. This is how legends are made of. No media, no bouncers only commitment towards loyal employees. There is a lot to learn for all entrepreneurs and businessmen that money is not everything all that matters is being a great human being. Hats off Sir!! I bow my head in Respect!!”

 

Ratan Tata, recently said, that he is unhappy with the companies that have laid off employees in the lockdown. People who work for your companies, dedicated their life for the growth of companies, therefore in tough time companies have a responsibility towards their employees. Is it ethical to lay off the employee in such a situation? Tata had said.

 

Ratan Naval Tata is an industrialist, philanthropist, and a former chairman of Tata Sons. He was also chairman of Tata Group, from 1990 to 2012, and again, as interim chairman, from October 2016 through February 2017, and continues to head its charitable trusts.
