Pune: Residential Welfare Association Meeting Organized At PCDA Office
Pune, 23rd October 2022: A meeting of The Residential Welfare Association (RWA) was organized on 22.10.2022 in the Office of Principal Controller of Defence Accounts (SC) for resolving the issues prevailing in the two DAD Residential Complexes located at Wanowrie and Chitragupta Complex, Camp.
The meeting was presided over by Dr. Rajeev S. Chavan, IDAS, ndc, Principal Controller of Defence Accounts (SC) Pune. Shri Praveen Ranjan, IDAS, Joint Controller of Defence Accounts and elected members of both the residential complexes participated in the Conference. In the meeting detailed discussions were held regarding timely repairs, resolution of acute problems of electricity and water and cleaning, security maintenance contracts etc.
The Principal Controller, Dr. Rajeev S. Chavan, IDAS, ndc, while addressing the gathering informed that the concerned MES authorities have already been informed for repairs and periodical services of the residential accommodation and the work would start shortly. The Chairman directed that the executives of HQ Southern Command may be asked to deploy Security Guards for both the residential complexes so that the security of these complexes can be ensured round the clock. For security, every house has been instructed to install a new iron lattice door (total 600) and sliding windows. He expressed his desire for the construction of a new residential complex and a new sports complex stadium in the coming times. He also shared his plan for construction of 1200 residential complexes in Pune for Defence Accounts Department employees after getting approval from Ministry of Defence, New Delhi.
Dr. Rajeev S. Chavan, PCDA, advised the members of the Association to put forth the major issues of housing welfare and also gave valuable suggestions to start ‘Swachhta Abhiyan’ from time to time. He also said that the administration is already paying attention to the minor issues raised by the members of the association.
The Chairmen further urged everyone with great humility that everyone has to extend a hand and everyone has to play a role if the problems are to be solved. The arrangement for the construction of a sub-station for electrical breakdown and movement is in the final stages. About the launch of an open gym, he said that this worthwhile endeavor is in its final stages. He also assured of cleanliness of the garden and harvesting of bushes.
The members of the Association appreciated the plans and fruitful efforts of the Principal Controller of Defence Accounts. Shri PP Pathak, Shri Brijesh Nandan, Shri Omprakash, Shri Umashankar, Shri Saurav Das, Shri Umesh Rai, Shri Purendra Dewangan etc. were present on behalf of the association in the meeting.
The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks by Shri Praveen Ranjan, IDAS, Joint Controller of Defence Accounts.
