Pune: Retd Army Officer Assaulted, FIR Registered By Hinjawadi Police

Balewadi, October 13, 2020: A retired army officer was thrashed by a man from his housing society and in the melee his two teeth were knocked out. The accused also threatened the officer and warned him against filing a complaint with the police.

The incident took place at Mhalunge on Monday (October 12) night. Ramchandra Fakirchandra Sharma (66) has lodged an FIR with Hinjawadi police station against Nilesh Padale. Both residents of Swastik heights, Mhalunge gaon.

According to police, Sharma retired from the army in 1995. He is currently a resident of Mhalunge. On Monday night, as usual, he had gone on the terrace after dinner for a walk. He was talking with his relatives on call. The accused asked Sharma with whom he was talking. When Sharma said he was talking with his relative, the accused punched him on his face and abused him. In the scuffle, two teeth of Sharma broke and the accused threw his mobile and spectacles on the floor.

He also threatened Sharma of dire consequences if police complaint was lodged against him. Hinjawadi police are investigating further.
