Pune Ring Road Project: Farmers Will Get Compensation For Land By Diwali This Year Claim Officials

Pune, 5th June 2021: The land acquisition process for Pune Ring Road Project has started. Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) and Pune District administration has been speeding up the process.

“The first phase of land acquisition will be over soon, thus, the farmer will be compensated by Diwali,” claimed officials.

Currently, 34 hectares of land is being measured at Pimploli and Rihe village in Mulshi taluka. A total of 40 per cent measurement has been done across 17 villages.

Commenting on the topic, Sandip Patil, Deputy Engineer, MSRDC said that farmers from many villages are supporting the land acquisition. Hence, the work will be done in the next two to three months. They will be compensated properly as the talks regarding that are going on between state government and district administration. They will be compensated by Diwali, he said.

The MSRDC ring road will be 173 km long and it will cost around Rs 17000 crore. More than 1500 acres of land is supposed to be acquired for the project.
