Pune: Rs 8.74 Lakh Cash Looted In Daylight Robbery From Petrol Pump Manager

Wanowrie, 14th June 2021: Two robbers looted Rs 8.74 lakh from the manager of a petrol pump in Wanowrie today afternoon. The incident took place when the manager was going to deposit the cash collection on Saturday and Sunday.

Based on a complaint from the manager Balasaheb Ambure, an FIR has been registered at Wanowrie police station.

According to police, Anand Laholi, who lives in Syednagar, owns the petrol pump. His manager Ambure was on his way to the bank on a two-wheeler when the two robbers who were also on a two-wheeler intercepted him. They threatened him with a chopper and snatched away the bag containing the cash and fled.

Police officials said that investigation is going into the case and footage of CCTVs is being scanned. Teams from the Detection Branch (DB) of the police station as well as the Pune Police Crime Branch probing the case.
