Pimpri-Chinchwad, 10th June 2023: In the online admission process for the academic year 2022-23, conducted under the Right to Free Education (RTE) Act in Pimpri-Chinchwad, a substantial number of seats have been confirmed. Out of the total 3,281 seats available for the 25 percent reservation quota, 2,023 seats have been successfully allocated, leaving 908 seats still vacant.

The admission process, which commenced in February this year, is ongoing and has been extended until June 12 to accommodate late submissions. However, despite the extension, numerous students continue to miss out on admission due to delays in completing the required documentation. With only a few days left before the school year begins, it is expected that most of the remaining seats will be filled during this period.

Among the various admission centres, the Akurdi Unnat Kendra has granted admission to 1,581 out of 2,185 seats, while the Pimpri Unnat Kendra has filled 792 out of 1,096 seats. The priority-based admission system ensures that vacant seats are offered to eligible students promptly.

Under the RTE Act, which mandates free education, the current admission figures highlight the progress made in Pimpri-Chinchwad. However, it is important to note that achieving a 100 percent admission quota through the RTE system remains a challenge.

As the deadline approaches, it is hoped that the remaining vacant seats will be filled, allowing students to commence their academic journey without further delay.
