Pune RTO To Launch New Series For Autorickshaws And Three-Wheelers

Pune, 4th November 2021: The Regional Transport Office (RTO) is soon launching a new series for autorickshaws and three-wheelers. Those who want an attractive and preferred number for private four-wheelers by paying three times the fee are required to apply in the prescribed format.

This application and demand draft (DD) will have to be submitted in person between 11 am to 2.30 pm on November 8, 2021, in the transport department of the office along with proof of address, Aadhaar card, identity card, attested copy of PAN card.

If more than one application is received for the same number, their list will be submitted on 9th November 2021 at 10.30 am and will be posted on the office notice board. For those applications on the same day, the auction will be held at the Department of Transport at 4.30 pm.

The application for Rickshaws and three-wheelers can be submitted on 9th November between 11 am to 2:30 pm. If more than one application is received for the same number, their list will be submitted on 10th November 2021 at 10.30 am.

The Regional Transport Officer, Pune, has appealed to the people to apply in advance for retaining the attractive registration number of the starting series for autorickshaws and three-wheelers.

The DD should be a nationalized or scheduled bank in Pune under the name ‘RTO, Pune’. In addition, it will be mandatory for the applicant to attach an attested copy of the PAN card. The DD to be submitted for the auction should be submitted along with a single sealed envelope.

Once registered, the registration number cannot be changed. If the vehicle is not submitted for registration within 30 days from the date of retention of the registration number, the reserved registration number will be automatically cancelled and the fee paid will be credited to the Government treasury. It has also been informed that the fee provided for reserving any specific registration number will not be refunded under any circumstances.
