Pune-Santragachi Superfast Special Trains Announced; Tickets Available from April 13

Pune, 11th April 2026: Central Railway will operate Superfast Summer Special trains between Pune and Santragachi Junction to manage increased passenger demand during the summer travel season.

The special service will run for a total of four trips, with two services in each direction.

Train No. 01429 Pune–Santragachi Superfast Special will depart Pune at 10:00 hrs on April 15 and April 22, 2026 (Wednesdays), and will arrive at Santragachi at 21:00 hrs the following day.

In the return direction, Train No. 01430 Santragachi–Pune Superfast Special will depart Santragachi at 15:45 hrs on April 17 and April 24, 2026 (Fridays), and will reach Pune at 03:10 hrs on the third day, Sunday.

The train will halt at multiple stations including Daund Chord Line, Ahilyanagar, Ankai, Manmad, Bhusaval, Malkapur, Akola, Badnera, Wardha, Nagpur, Gondia, Durg, Raipur, Bilaspur, Jharsuguda, Rourkela, Chakradharpur, Tatanagar, and Kharagpur.

The composition of the train includes 18 LHB coaches comprising one First AC coach, one AC 2-tier coach, three AC 3-tier coaches, seven sleeper class coaches, four general second-class coaches, one generator van, and one SLRD coach.

Bookings for Train No. 01429 will open from April 13, 2026, at all computerized Passenger Reservation System centres and on the IRCTC Rail Connect platform.

General second-class coaches and guard/luggage vans will operate as unreserved. Tickets for these coaches can be booked through the UTS system with applicable fares for superfast, mail, and express trains.

Passengers can check detailed timings at intermediate halts through the NTES app or the official railway enquiry portal before travel.
