Pune, May 29th, 2024: Action has been taken against two doctors and a peon from Sassoon Hospital in Pune for tampering with the blood sample of a minor involved in the Kalyani Nagar Porsche incident, where two youths on a motorcycle were killed. Dr. Ajay Taware, Dr. Shrihari Halnor, and peon Atul Ghatkamble have been suspended following an inquiry by a three-member committee led by Dr. Pallavi Saple, Dean of Mumbai’s JJ College. The blood sample was crucial in determining whether the minor accused was under the influence of alcohol.

The suspension letters for the three individuals from Sassoon Hospital are expected to be issued by the end of the day. Dr. Vinayak Kale, Dean of Sassoon Hospital, stated, “Dr. Ajay Taware has been removed from his Head of Department responsibilities and replaced by Dr. Vijay Jadhav.”

Sassoon Hospital Dean Dr Vinayak Kale has been sent on leave. Now the additional charge of the hospital has been given to Dr Chandrakant Mhaske, Dean of Ahilyabai Holkar Government Medical College (GMC), Baramati.
