Pune : Scolded For Coming Late From Lunch Break At Office, Man Assaults Senior Manager
Pune 5th August 2023: In a shocking incident reported in Mohammadwadi area of the city, a person working as senior manager at a private company was assaulted by his junior for scolding him for returning late from lunch break at office. The incident took place near Shriram Chowk in the Mohammadwadi area on August 1 at around 10:30 pm when the complainant was going home from office.
According to police, Deepak Sontake (40) who works as a senior manager at a private company in the city had scolded the accused Sohel Shaikh (23) for coming late from lunch break at office. Angry from his behaviour, Sohel decided to teach him lesson and caught him outside the office premises while he was heading towards his home. He assaulted the complainant using an iron rod due to which he sustained serious injuries.
A case in this regard has been registered at Wanawadi Police Station against Sohel under sections 326, 323, 504, 506 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) along with section 7 of the Criminal Law Ammendment Act. Further investigation in the matter is underway.
