Pune: Second edition of empowerHER Foundation AITA MSLTA Deccan Gymkhana Rs 1 Lakh All India Women’s Ranking Tennis Tournament

Pune, 9th October 2025: A total 110 Players from various states will be seen in action at the second edition empoerHER Foundation AITA MSLTA ₹1 Lakh All India Women’s Ranking Tennis Tournament which is being organised by The empowerHER Foundation, and in association with the PMDTA , AthletesBnB, Bharat Sports Evolution, MyMentalCoach, Yolkshire and with the wholehearted support of parents to be played at Aniket Wakankar Tennis Academy, Pashan from 11th to 17th October 2025.

Mr. Sandeep Nulkar, Tournament Director said that, “Our vision is to give women players the kind of support and infrastructure usually reserved for international events. We want every participant to feel valued, cared for, and empowered—both on and off the court. This tournament is about raising the bar for Indian tennis.”

This pioneering event is set to redefine the tournament experience for women tennis players in India. Every aspect of the tournament has been designed to place players’ comfort, safety, and performance at the forefront, offering a level of professionalism rarely seen at the domestic level.

A total 110 players from states have confirmed their entries which included Maharashtra, Telangana, Uttarpradesh, Madhyapradesh, Karnataka, Punjab, Tamilnadu, Andhrapradesh, Chattisgarh, Gujrat will be seen in the action during this event. Top players Lalitya Kalluri (ranked 18), Chandana Potugari (ranked 39), Danica Fernando (ranked 41) and Parthasarthi Mundhe (ranked 46) apart from up and coming players such as Aakruti Sonkusare, Dhanvi Kale, Sameeksha Shroff, Sía Nulkar and some veterans such as Aareyalee Chavan and Tejasvi Kate will be seen in action. The event will held in Women’s singles and doubles category. The winner will get a trophy and certificates.

A Tournament Designed for Women Athletes. This event brings together the entire tennis ecosystem—coaches, mental trainers, sports medicine experts, sponsors, and parents—to create a truly holistic experience for athletes. The empowerHER Foundation and its partners are committed to demonstrating that world-class professionalism and care can be delivered at the domestic level in India.

Pranav Waghmare has been appointed AITA Supervisor for this event.

“When women athletes are given the right facilities, care, and safety, they can reach their highest potential. This tournament is a celebration of that belief,” Mr Nulkar added.
