Pune: Seven Bangladeshi Nationals Arrested From Budhwar Peth For Illegal Stay, Case Registered

Pune 10th Oct 2023: The Social Security Cell of Pune City Police has arrested seven Bangladeshi women for illegal stay in Budhwar Peth area of the city. The city police officials conducted raids in the area following inputs about some foreign nationals staying illegally in the city.

During the investigation, it was revealed that the women detained from the Budhwar Peth area were staying in the city for over four years and none of them had valid documents to stay in India. The detained women were handed over to Faraskhana Police for further action and a case under relevant sections was registered.

It may be noted that the social security cell of Pune Police have intensified action against foreign nationals staying illegally in the city. The officials had earlier arrested Bangladeshi nationals in similar raids conducted in the Budhwar Peth area. It has been revealed that the Bangladeshi citizens had crossed the international borders illegally and many of them had even made fake documents to stay in India.
