Pune : Six UP Residents Arrested For Stealing Iron Plates of Irrigation Department
Pune 24th July 2023: The Pune City Police have arrested six people, all residents of Uttar Pradesh for allegedly stealing the iron plates of irrigation department from Mutha river basin. The accused had stolen a total of 108 iron plates worth Rs 10.50 lakh from Mutha river. A case in this regard was registered at Uttamnagar Police Station.
According to police, the patrolling team of Uttamnagar Police Station noticed a suspected vehicle near MSE gate. The marshals approached towards the vehicle but all the men in and around the pick up vehicle ran away from the spot. Police found iron stolen iron plates in the vehicle.
The owner of the pick up vehicle was trave and taken into custody by for inquiry. During his inquiry it was revealed that six men had stolen these iron plates of irrigation department. The police have arrested six people identified as Surendra Chandrika Yadav (25), Ramraksha Dharamraj Paswan (38), Muniram Santram Yadav (40), Rahul Amirka Yadav (19), Prince alias Mitholes Harichandra Yadav (18), Pradip Ambika Kanojia (18). All the arrested accused are residents of Siddharthnagar, Uttar Pradesh. Further investigation in the matter is underway.
