Pune Social Group Conducts Traffic Awareness Drive in Shivaji Nagar
Pune, 08th May 2025: Pune Social Group, in collaboration with Pune Police, conducted a traffic rules awareness drive at Shivaji Nagar on Tuesday to promote road safety and reduce accidents.
Senior Police Inspector Mahesh Bolkotgi, along with API Sachin Kharat and their team, guided volunteers during the drive. They emphasized the importance of adhering to traffic rules to ensure the safety of all road users.
Swaroop Roy, Founder of Pune Social Group, highlighted the objective of the initiative, stating that reminding citizens about traffic regulations through such awareness efforts can contribute to saving lives.
As part of the drive, tokens of appreciation were distributed to drivers who were observed following traffic rules.
The initiative was supported by Rotary Club Kalyani Nagar, Rajendra Kapote, NRK, social activist Ameet Singh, and the Inner Wheel Club.
The drive was coordinated by Pune Social Group’s team including Swaroop Roy, Sameer Gadgil, Swaroop Kulkarni, Niral Desai, Janhavi Sonar, Rashmi Nair, Prachi Bidwe, and Ria Chauhan, Chairperson of the Pune Social Group Charity Wing. A total of 50 volunteers participated in the event.
