Pune: Speeding Bike Crash Kills 70-Year-Old Man in Hinjawadi; Mixer Truck Rams Police Vehicle in Ravet, Two Injured

Pimpri-Chinchwad, 19th April 2025: Pimpri Pimpri-Chinchwad area witnessed two serious road accidents yesterday, resulting in one fatality and multiple injuries.
Around 6 AM on Marunji-Kasarsai Road near Hinjawadi, 70-year-old Ram Krishna Sinha, who was out for his morning walk, was fatally struck from behind by a speeding motorcycle. The bike, bearing registration number MH 14 GB 7572, caused severe injuries that led to Sinha’s death on the spot. His son, Gopal Krishna Sinha from Kharadi, Pune, filed a complaint with the Hinjawadi Police, leading to an investigation and a case being registered against the motorcycle rider.
Similarly, at approximately 1 AM in Ravet, a mixer truck collided with a car carrying Shivajinagar police personnel, resulting in injuries to two individuals. The car, registered MH 14 LU 4611, was being driven by Assistant Police Inspector Kailas Bhiku Daberao, accompanied by Police Constable Jadhavar and Shridhar Bhosale. The mixer truck, driven by 23-year-old Jitendra Kumar Mahto from Mamurdi, struck the vehicle from behind near Hotel Maratha Palace. Both Shridhar Bhosale and Constable Jadhavar sustained injuries, and the car suffered extensive damage. Ravet police have registered a case against the truck driver and are investigating the incident.
