Pune: State Education Minister Chandrakant Patil Reviews Progress of Bajirao Peshwa Statue at NDA

Khadakwasla, 12th November 2023: State Higher and Technical Education Minister Chandrakant Patil conducted an inspection of the statue of the renowned Bajirao Peshwa at the National Defence Academy (NDA) on Friday. The statue is being erected by Shrimant Thorle Bajirao Peshwa Pratishthan.

Minister Patil emphasized that Peshwa’s legacy serves as an inspiration for the younger generation, given the impactful nature of his contributions.

The statue, a collaborative effort by the public and the Shrimant Thorle Bajirao Peshwa Pratishthan, is set to be unveiled by Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Minister Patil visited the NDA to personally inspect and review the progress of the statue’s construction. Present during the inspection were Air Marshal (retd) Bhushan Gokhale, Shrimant Thorle Bajirao Peshwa Foundation President Kundan Kumar Sathe, BJP State Spokesperson Sandeep Khardekar, sculptor Vipul Khatavkar, Squadron Leader Prakash Shinde, Major Rahul Shukla, and Colonel Raminder Singh.

Bajirao Peshwa, a towering figure in the history, was known for his aggressive personality. Beyond his prowess on the battlefield, he demonstrated effective administrative skills. Minister Patil remarked that Peshwa’s legacy serves as an inspiration for the younger generation, recognizing his multifaceted contributions.
