Pune: Stones Fell On Security Cabin Between Monkey Hill And Thakurwadi Railway Stations During Landslide
Lonavla, 9th July 2022: A landslide occurred at 1115/0 km between Monkey Hill and Thakurwadi on the Mumbai-Pune railway line at 9.15 pm on Friday (July 8).
The stones from the landslides fell on the cabin of the security guard who was stationed there. An employee here has been rescued. As soon as the Railway staff came to know about the landslide, they immediately removed the obstruction. They also repaired the broken overhead wire which got affected in the landslide.
Over the last two and three years, the area has witnessed a series of landslides. After the incident, nets have been installed in this mountainous area and CCTV cameras have been installed at various places.
