Pune: Student Drowned In Talegaon Lake, Navy Teams Recovers Body

Talegaon, 26th May 2024: In an untoward incident, a student from DY Patil College, Lohegoan was found missing near Dabade Lake, Talegaon on 23 May 24. Diving assistance was sought by the district administration from INS Shivaji, Lonavala to locate the missing student. A Naval diving team along with necessary equipment and inflatable craft were immediately deployed to the site of incident, about 40 km away from Lonavala.

Based on the inputs from locals and district administration, the search operation by Naval divers was undertaken. Spot diving was undertaken at various locations and search operation was continued with inflatable craft. With continued efforts, the body of missing student was recovered and handed over to the local authorities on 24 May 24.
