Pimple Saudagar, 13th April 2024: On Saturday at approximately 8:30 pm, an unusual scene took place at Shivar Chowk in Pimple Saudagar. A group of around 20 people, including both men and women, gathered with banners to campaign for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in support of the sitting Prime Minister, Narendra Damodardas Modi. They referred to their campaign as the “Modi 3.0” movement.

When asked about their motivation for supporting Modi, the campaigners stated that Modi had performed admirably over the past decade. They expressed their desire for the citizens of Pune to participate fully in the elections to ensure the preservation of democracy and enable Modi to serve a third term as prime minister. The group emphasized that Modi’s leadership is crucial for achieving the “Developed India Initiative” (Vikasit Bharat Sankalp).

In the campaign at Shivar Chowk Garden, participants included college students, everyday citizens, IT professionals, homemakers, and others. They were shouting slogans such as “Abki Baar 400 Paar,” “Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj ki Jai,” and “Bharat Mata ki jai.”

Pranay Goswami, a campaigner and IT employee from Hinjawadi expressed, “Our motivation comes from the reforms introduced by the Modi government, such as the abrogation of Article 370, the construction of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, infrastructure development, and national security.”

He added, “This is a nationwide campaign. In Pune, there are around 40 participants. We are ordinary people not affiliated with any organization. We plan to extend our campaign to the Pune metro soon.”
