Pune: Supriya Sule Urges CM Fadnavis to Set Up Unified Authority for Hinjawadi Infrastructure

Pune, 20th June 2025: Baramati MP Supriya Sule has urged Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to establish a dedicated authority to address chronic infrastructure issues in Hinjawadi, Maan, Marunji, Rajiv Gandhi IT Park, and surrounding localities.
In her letter, Sule highlighted how residents and businesses struggle navigating multiple civic bodies, Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC), Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA), Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (PMRDA), Metro authorities, Gram Panchayats and Police, to resolve basic issues. “Citizens waste time and face mental stress by running from one agency to another,” she said.
Advocating reform, Sule proposed a unified, independent authority led by a senior official to streamline coordination and accelerate grievance resolution. “One nodal body would cut through bureaucratic red tape and simplify processes around roads, power, transport, and safety, delivering more efficient governance in this high-growth tech corridor,” she noted.
She emphasized to CM Fadnavis that a prompt decision on this proposal could significantly improve infrastructure delivery and local quality of life.
