Pune: Suryavanshi wins doubles crown, Kirrtane wins Boys title at the Om Dalvi Memorial One Plus Trophy Championship Series U-12 National Ranking Tennis Tournament

Pune, May 27, 2022: Local Lad Srushti Suryavanshi won a memorable winning the Singles and Doubles crown at the Om Dalvi Memorial One Place Trophy Championship series Under 12 Tennis Tournament which is being organized by Om Dalvi Memorial Trust and sponsored by Mittal Brothers and Head Equipment Under the auspices of MSLTA and AITA and played at Maharashtra Police Tennis Gymkhana, Aundh.

 

In the girls event fourth seeded Srushti Suryavanshi upset second seeded Ritika Dawalkar from Kolhapur 6-3, 2-6, 6-3 to claim the title. She practices at Intensity Tennis Academy under coach Kapil Kinnari. In the doubles finals Surshti then tied up with Ritika Dawalkar beat Ritsa Kondkar and Kavya Pande 6-0, 2-6, 10-7

 

In the boys under 12 event 6th standard student of Bishops School sixth seeded Aaryan Kirrtane scored a 6-2, 7-5 win over Sarvadnya Sarode to win the title. Aryan practices at Aadar Poonawala Tennis Academy coach Nitin Kirrtane and Prasanjit Paul.

 

In the doubles Final Round top seeded Smit Undre tied up with Varad Undre registered a 6-3, 6-1 win over second seeded pair of Veeren Chaudhary and Atharva Dakare.

 

The winner and runner up got a trophy and certificates. The prizes were given away at the hands of Mr.Sunil Fulari, Inspector General of Police, Mr.Atul Patil, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Dr.Jaysing Patil, Trustee of ODMT, Gayatri Pawar, DYSP. Tournament Director Mr.Umesh Dalvi, Mr.Maruti Raut, MSLTA Supervisor Pranav Waghmare and Kalpita Joshi were present on the occasion.
