Pune: Suspected Terrorists Arrested From Kothrud Sent to ATS Custody Till August 5
Pune 25th July 2023: The Pune court on Tuesday sent the two suspected terrorists arrested from Kothrud to Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) custody till August 5. The accused have been handed over to ATS team after their custody with Pune City Police was over today.
Earlier Pune City Police team had arrested two accused identified as Mohammad Yunus Mohammad Yaku Saki (24) and Mohammad Imran Mohammad Yusuf Khan (23) from Kothrud. It was revealed that both arrested accused were wanted by National Investigation Agency (NIA) in a case registered in Rajasthan.

The police team have recovered some incriminating material during the search conducted at the residence of arrested accused. It was also revealed during an investigation that they were planning a series of explosions in Pune. The National Investigation Team officials also interrogated the arrested accused in Pune.
The case has been handed over to the ATS Maharashtra. Police have also launched search for one more accused who managed to escape from Pune Police’s custody.
