Pune: Tendering Process For 300 New Bus Shelters Completed, Say PMPML Officials
Pune 19th July 2023 : The Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) has completed the tendering process for the 300 new Bus Shelters in the city, said officials. These Bus Shelters will soon be added for the convenience of passengers.
According to PMPML officials, the new bus shelters will be constructed as per Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) system. The PMPML currently has a total of 1,130 bus shelters across the district. Most of these Bus Shelters have been constructed and maintained by private vendors who are allowed to advertise their products or services on it.
The transport service has been criticised many times in the recent tims for not having enough bus shelters for the passengers.
