Pune: Three More Arrested For Duping Army Job Aspirants

Pune 22nd Oct 2033: The Pune City Police and Military Intelligence Unit of the Southern Command of the Indian Army have nabbed three more people in a case related to duping army job aspirants for Rs 1.88 Crore. The three accused have been identified as Rajesh Lohar, Shrinivas Kulkarni and Ankush Shinde. Their names were revealed during an interrogation by the earlier arrested accused.

 

According to police, Lohar is a retired havildar from Indian Army while Shinde is a doctor from Belagavi. The investigation team raided their locations and material including laptop and documents have been seized. The seized documents include fake recruitment letter for jobs in the Indian Army.

 

The police had earlier arrested several accused in the case for allegedly duping the Jos aspirants on pretext of securing job in the Indian Army. The victims were asked to pay money on different ocassions on pretext of getting ID cards, arranging examinations for the recruitment etc. only after one of the victims realised the fraud, he approached the police and the alleged fraud came to light. A case under relevant sections has been already registered at Kondhwa Police Station in the matter and police are investigating further in it.
