Pune, 3rd October 2023: In a significant move to bolster football education in India, FIFA’s Football For Schools (F4S) is partnering with the Ministry of Education, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship of the Government of India (MoE), All India Football Federation (AIFF), and the Sports Authority of India (SAI). The collaboration aims to organize a two-day Capacity Building/Train-the-Trainer Programme on October 5th and 6th at the Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex in Pune, Maharashtra.

The program is designed to empower Coach Educators affiliated with key educational bodies such as CBSE, KVS, NVS, AIFF, and SAI. The primary objective is to enhance their coaching skills, enabling them to effectively impart football education in schools across India. A total of 100 Coach Educators representing 28 States and eight Union Territories are expected to participate.

This initiative extends beyond urban centers, reaching even the most remote schools in Indian villages. The goal is to promote football at the grassroots level, making the sport accessible to children nationwide. The Master Training Programme serves as a platform to educate and empower trainers from diverse states, disseminating valuable football knowledge.

Known as the FIFA ‘Football for Schools’ Capacity Building Workshop, this event marks a significant stride in the development of Indian football. The mission is to equip educators with the tools and expertise required to nurture young football talent across the nation. This, in turn, contributes to India’s pursuit of excellence in the sport on a global scale.
