Pune: Traffic Changes Around Major Temples On The Occasion Of Navratri Festival
Pune, 25th September 2022: On the occasion of the Navratri festival, traffic changes will be made around the areas of major temples in the city from Monday (26th September). Devotees throng Shri Chattushringi Temple, Sri Bhavani Mata Temple, and Shree Tambdi Jogeshwari Temple during the Navratri festival. To avoid traffic jams in the vicinity of major temples, the traffic police have made changes in the routes.
Changes have been made in the traffic system around Shree Tambdi Jogeshwari Temple. The road between Appa Balwant Chowk and Budhwar Chowk (Hutatma Chowk) will be closed for traffic. One-way traffic will continue from Budhwar Chowk to Appa Balwant Chowk. If the crowd increases, the traffic system in this area will be changed as per the requirement. The road between Ganapati Chowk and Tambdi Jogeshwari Temple on Lakshmi Road will be closed for traffic. Deputy Commissioner of Police, Traffic Branch, Rahul Shrirame, has informed that the road leading to Shree Tambdi Jogeshwari Temple from Futka Buruj Chowk will be closed for other vehicles, except for essential service vehicles.
Parking of vehicles is prohibited in the area of Shree Tambdi Jogeshwari Temple, Shree Ashtabhuja Temple in Shaniwar Peth, and Shree Ashtabhuja Temple in Narayan Pethe. Devotees coming for darshan to the temple in the central part should park their vehicles on the road in the parking lot of the market. There will be traffic changes in the Sri Bhavani Mata Mandir area in Bhavani Peth. The road will be closed for traffic between Ramoshi Gate Chowk and Juna Motor Stand. Parking of vehicles is prohibited on the temple premises. Motorists should park their vehicles on Nehru Road and the surrounding area. Vehicles passing through the Sri Bhavani Mata Mandir area should use alternative routes.
There will be changes in the traffic system in the vicinity of Shri Chattushringi Temple on Senapati Bapat Road. In case of a traffic jam on Senapati Bapat Road, the traffic coming from Jakartanagar Chowk towards Senapati Bapat Road will be diverted from Shivaji Housing Society Chowk to the left side of Senapati Bapat Road. In case of congestion, the traffic coming from Senapati Bapat Road towards Shri Chaturshringi Temple will be diverted to Ganeshkhind Road via Vetalbaba Chowk, Deepbangla Chowk, and Om Super Market.
