Pune Traffic Police Introduces Selfie Attendance System
Pune, 2nd November 2022: On Saturday, the city traffic police introduced a selfie attendance system for its constables and officers who regulate vehicular movement on the road.
The new system requires police officers to upload their selfies upon returning to duty between 8:30 and 9 a.m., as well as during peak morning, afternoon, and evening traffic hours. To sign off for the day, they must also upload a selfie.
The new system has received more criticism than praise from the city’s residents, officers, and authorities.
