Pune Traffic Update: Closure of Jedhe Chowk Underpass in Swargate Cancelled
Swargate, 19th September 2025: The Pune City Traffic Police has announced that the proposed temporary closure of the Jedhe Chowk underpass at Swargate has been cancelled due to unfavorable weather conditions.
Earlier, a press note had informed citizens that the underpass would remain closed from 11 pm on September 19 until 7 am on September 22 for repair work. However, continuous monsoon rains have created difficulties in carrying out the planned maintenance, said DCP (Traffic) Himmat Jadhav.
As a result, the repair work has been postponed, and the Jedhe Chowk underpass will remain open for regular vehicular movement as usual.
The traffic police have requested all motorists and commuters to take note of this update.
