Pune: Travel Bus Accident Occurs Near Phulgaon, Many Passengers Injured
Wagholi, 21st May 2023: In the early hours of the morning, a severe travel bus accident happened near Phulgaon, Lonikand, in Haveli taluka of Pune district. The incident took place at 7:46 AM, sending shockwaves through the local community.
At present, the exact number of patients involved in the accident is yet to be confirmed. However, swift action was taken by the authorities upon receiving the call. The 108 Control room promptly dispatched the three nearest ambulances to the scene to provide immediate medical assistance to those in need. Shivraj Khule had alerted the authorities about the accident.
The first ambulance was dispatched from the Wagholi Primary Health Center, ensuring that medical personnel were on hand to administer aid to the injured. The second ambulance was dispatched from the Lohegaon Sub Centre, further bolstering the emergency response efforts. Lastly, the Shikrapur Rural Hospital also dispatched an ambulance to provide medical support.
Upon arrival at the accident scene, medical professionals wasted no time in attending to the patients. One patient received immediate on-spot treatment, while approximately 4 to 5 patients were transported to nearby medical facilities by private vehicles. Fortunately, no further casualties have been reported at this time.
