Pune: Truck Carrying Coal Overturns Near Navle Bridge, Causes Massive Traffic Jam And Injures Driver
Pune 10th July 2023: In yet another accident reported near Navle Bridge on Pune-Bangalore Highway, a truck carrying coal overturned on Monday. The incident took place at around 10 am in the morning.
According to officials, the truck was moving towards Mumbai and while it was passing the steep slope between Navle bridge and Bhumkar Chowk the truck driver lost control over the vehicle and hit the divider. The truck came rolling on the road moving towards Bangalore and overturned.
The truck driver has sustained injuries in the incident and he was rushed to the hospital for treatment. The truck was carrying around 40 tonnes of coal, said officials.
The accident led to heavy traffic jam on the highway as the vehicles were piled upto around four kilometres. The highway administration and traffic personnel reached the spot to manage the traffic congestion and remove the truck from the road.
