Pune: Two Groups Clash Injuring Youths, Bite Policeman Trying To Arrest Them
Sadashiv Peth, 15th July 2022: Two groups of youths clashed near Jondhale Chowk in Sadashiv Peth, Pune, today afternoon. Two youths are injured besides a policeman who sustained bite marks while trying to rescue them.
The video of the clash has gone viral on social media. The officials from the Vishrambaugh police station have detained five people in this case.
The injured persons have been identified as Sukhedav Gaikwad (27) and Sridarshan Kale (23) have been injured.
According to police, some youths arrived in an autorickshaw on Kumthekar road from Sinhagad road area and tried to terrorise people. After that they went to Tilak Road near SP College and assaulted three persons. They were armed with choppers and stone blocks. A crowd had gathered to watch the assault but nobody went to rescue of the victims. Many people recorded the incident on their phones.
After getting information, when cops reached there, one of the accused bite a policeman on abdomen.
Police managed to detain five of them. Further investigation is going to ascertain the reason behind the whole incident.
