Pune: Two Women Allegedly Beaten With Iron Rod Over Dog Barking in Wagholi
Wagholi, 21st September 2026: Two women were allegedly abused and assaulted with an iron rod following an argument over a dog barking in Wagholi on September 15. Wagholi police have registered a case against two men for voluntarily causing grievous hurt.
The complainant, identified as 27-year-old Jayshree Ramchandra Chavan, a resident of Waghmare Vasti in Wagholi, alleged that her pet dog had barked at the accused. One of the accused allegedly rode a two-wheeler over the dog.
When Chavan questioned the accused about the incident, they allegedly abused her and her sister and assaulted them with an iron rod around 10pm on September 15.
Police have registered a case against Tarachand Kaluram Chavan and Hiraman Kaluram Waghmare, both residents of Waghmare Vasti. Police constable Sanap is conducting further investigation.
