Pune University Enrolls Over 4 Lakh Students In Credit Score Program, Ranks Second In Maharashtra State
Pune, 21st March 2023: Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) is making extensive preparations for the implementation of the National Education Policy 2020. As per the policy, every student will have a credit score or credit bank, and the university is ranked second in the state for the student registration process.
The university has successfully enrolled 4,45,752 students on the online platform provided by the central government for educational institutes and universities to register.
Dr. Mahesh Kakade, Director, Board of Examination and Evaluation, SPPU, said that the new educational policy is going to be based on a merit system where specific marks will be credited to the student’s academic account for each course. However, students need to open a new account to avail of this benefit. He also added that affiliated colleges were instructed to register for ‘ABC’ from October 2022, and the university has been successful in registering so many students due to early preparation.
To register for the education account, students can visit abc.gov.in.
Dr. Kakade has urged the remaining students to register for the account and assured that the university is taking all necessary measures to facilitate the registration process.
