Pune University To Soon Start Certificate Course In Spoken Sanskrit

Pune, 9th October 2021: Spoken Sanskrit certificate course will be started soon at Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU)

 

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Savitribai Phule Pune University and Shri Sadguru Group on 8th October.

 

SPPU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr Nitin Karmalkar, Pro-Vice-Chancellor Dr NS Umrani, Head of Centre for Innovation, Incubation & Linkage Dr Apoorva Palkar, Head of Sanskrit and Prakrit Department Prof. Deonath Tripathi, Management Council Member Rajesh Pandey, Prasenjit Fadnavis, Dr Sanjay Chakane, Dr Ravindra Mule, Founder President of Shri Sadguru Group Yashwant Kulkarni, Atul Bhagre, Bharat Jagtap, Ghate Guruji, etc. were present on this occasion.

 

Yashwant Kulkarni said, “Eight hundred priestly gurus are affiliated with our organization. Almost all of them are interested in studying Sanskrit and speaking the Sanskrit language. They can’t study full time, so they are interested in learning Sanskrit through this certificate course.”

 

Dr Karmalkar added, “We have full-time Sanskrit courses, but not everyone can take full-time Sanskrit studies by taking care of their work. So we are starting this certificate course. This will increase the dialogue in the Sanskrit language.”
