Pune: Viral Video Captures Terrifying Knife Assault Near Hinjawadi As Driver Attacks Employer Over Job Termination

Hinjawadi, 27th December 2023: A disturbing video capturing a violent scuffle, featuring one person stabbing another, has gone viral on social media. The incident occurred at Bhumkar Chowk in Pimpri-Chinchwad city. The assailant wielding the knife has been identified as Digambar Shivaji Gaikwad, who works as a driver for the victim, Shivappa Adagale.

According to the Hinjawadi police investigation, an argument escalated into a physical altercation between Shivappa and Digambar on the road late Monday night. Both individuals were reportedly under the influence of alcohol during the altercation. Digambar, employed as a driver by Shivappa, learned that he was to be terminated from his position. In response, Digambar refused to surrender the tempo and its key, leading to heated arguments between the two.

Amidst the escalating dispute, Gaikwad resorted to a knife attack on Shivappa, resulting in the latter sustaining injuries and bleeding profusely. Onlookers attempted to intervene and defuse the situation, but the violent episode left the citizens in shock and fear.

Prompted by the severity of the incident, Hinjawadi police swiftly took Gaikwad into custody. Adagale was immediately rushed to the hospital for medical attention. The viral video captures the intense confrontation, providing a glimpse of the alarming knife attack that unfolded on the busy street.
