Pune: Vishrantwadi Police Arrest Thief, Recover Motorcycles Worth Rs 4.85 Lakh

Vishrantwadi, 5th July 2025: The Detection Branch (DB) of Vishrantwadi Police Station has arrested a thief and recovered stolen motorcycles worth Rs 4.85 lakh in a major breakthrough against vehicle theft.

According to Senior Police Inspector Kanchan Jadhav, in-charge of Vishrantwadi Police Station, several vehicle thefts had been reported in the area over the past few weeks. Acting on a tip-off, the DB team identified Vaibhav Ghuge, a resident of Beed, as the key suspect. Investigations revealed that Ghuge had been stealing motorcycles and transporting them to Navi Mumbai to sell.

The police team successfully arrested Ghuge from Beed and recovered five two-wheelers, including three Royal Enfield Bullets, one Hero Honda Splendor, and one Bajaj Pulsar, all collectively valued at Rs 4.85 lakh.

With this operation, police have solved four vehicle theft cases registered with Vishrantwadi Police Station and two more cases at other police stations.

The operation was carried out under the guidance of senior Pune Police officials, with a team led by Senior PI Kanchan Jadhav and PI (Crime) Mangesh Hande.
