Pune: VVCA Emerge Champions At Fourth Edition Of PYC Goldfieldd Late Raju Bhalekar Trophy Under-19 Cricket Tournament
Pune, 9th November 2021: Varroc Vengsarkar Cricket Academy emerged Champions winning the fourth edition of the “PYC-Goldfieldd Late Raju Bhalekar Trophy” Invitation Under-19 Cricket Tournament organized by the PYC Hindu Gymkhana and played on their ground.
In the finals, VVCA pipped United Sports Club by virtue of their narrow 4 runs first innings lead. Batting first VVCA had made 273 runs before being bowled out while United Sports Club was bowled out for 269 runs conceding a narrow 4 run lead
In the second innings, Varroc Vengsarkar Cricket Academy piled on 406 runs losing 7 wickets thanks to a 2nd wicket partnership of 103 runs in 214 balls between Jayesh Pol (103 runs) and Yash Jagdale (71 runs) and a third-wicket partnership of 88 runs in 136 balls between Jayesh Pol and Suraj Gond (48 runs) at the end of the third day.
The prizes were away at the hands of Vikas Kakatkar, President of MCA, Riyaz Bagwan, Sec of MCA, Anil Chajjed and Rohan Chajjed of Royal Goldfieldd Club Resorts Ltd, Dapoli, Rijuta Bhalekar, Tejal Bhalekar, Sarang Lagu, Secretary of PYC, Vinayak Dravid, Cricket Secretary of the PYC Hindu Gymkhana, Chandrashekhar Naniwadekar, treasurer of PYC, Siddharth Bhave, Shirish Sathe, Indrajit Kamtekar, Anuj Chajjed, Manish Chaubal, Kapil Khare were present on the occasion. Niranjan Godbole welcomed the guest and proposed to vote of thanks.
