Wanowrie, 4th April 2024: The Pune Police have registered a case against Mangesh Chandramaurya, Late Ujjwal Yogiraj Sakhre Maharaj, Late Sayyad Abdul Kareem Mohammad, Mushtaq Momin, and Abbas Warsi, all residents of Pune, under IPC sections 420, 467, 468, 471, and 120B.

According to FIR dated March 29, registered at Wanowrie police station, the accused allegedly sold four godowns on the ground floor and four shops on the first floor of a building located at Mahdevi Nagar Cooperative Society, under City Survey No. 1278/66 at Wanowrie, for Rs 4.25 crore to Rachna Construction from Pune.

At the time of the crime, accused Ujjwal Yogiraj Sakhre was not a member of the Mahdevi Nagar Cooperative Society. Along with Mangesh Chandramaurya, they approached the former Managing Committee of Mahdevi Nagar Cooperative Society, including Sayyad Abdul Kareem Mohammad, Mushtaq Momin, and Abbas Warsi, and with forged documents, sold the property to Nilesh Patel of Rachna Construction, Pune, via Registered Sale Deed 1662/2017 on March 6, 2017. In this case, the payment, instead of being deposited in the account of Mahedavi Nagar Cooperative Society, was deposited in the account of accused Ujwal Sakhre (Maharaj). As per FIR, Ujwal Sakhre did this in connivance with Mangesh Chandramaurya.

At the time of the sale deed of the said shops, Mahdevi Nagar Cooperative Society was under the administration of the state government-appointed Administrator Vinod Deshmukh. The previous management committee of the society had their tenure until April 14, 2016.

The complainant, Manoj Mandre, is a partner in Taxila Construction Company. In 2006, he acquired the development rights of the Mahedavi Nagar Cooperative Housing Society through Ms. Dhirottama Vivek Joshi. However, the consent of the Management Committee of the society was not obtained as assured by Dhirottama Vivek Joshi, leading to legal challenges against the development agreement.

Hence, the development of the said property is still pending. Sr PI, Sanjay Patange, Wanowrie Police station is investigating the case.
